Turbulent Waters

Waves surge, splash, with angry disposition
Torrid beginnings, now in full display — no inhibitions
Anger within, crashing at the shore with repetition

Each wave more ominous, merging with the next,
‘Till they fold in unison and triple in strength
Engulfing all creatures with foaming mouth, wide in length

I bear witness tranquil at the edge,
But the turbulence of the sea
Soon starts to flutter my heart, still be:
Control rage, don’t arch hostile like the waves!

Truth be told, I don’t like storms
Much better a stroll with peace at the shore
Forgive, forgive, forgive each time the waves recede
To display a luminous, glistening and shimmering field.
