Lotus
Your beauty surpasses none
Your edges soft, your layers translucent
Your petals delicate as the sunbeam itself
Your colors transcend the ordinary
Your whites are pure, heaven embodied
Your shades of violet divinity itself
Created by Mother Nature, no mortal can imitate
You open yourself to sky, you bloom each day
A rebirth from the murky muds of Mother Earth
In the thicks of sludge and dirt you find your sanctuary
But you grow in remarkable beauty
The Buddha reveres you, the Hindus worship you
Your daily resurrection is due to your unwavering faith
Faith to transform, rebirth and grow in grace
You are the lotus flower
You are what I aspire to be
