I see pelicans glide happily atop still water, preparing to dive for their prey.

I see paddle boards, as they surf the calm waters.

I see dogs dive in to fetch their balls, tails wagging.

I see people wading the cold water, timidly.

I see the shore adorned by colorful umbrellas.

I soak in the sight, I am happy.

I see us sitting each on a different colored adriatic chair.

I see us sipping our margaritas, trying out the assortment of sea creatures prepared just right.

I see us giggling silly, not having a worry, just sharing laughter.

It occurs to me that we are joyous.

Yes, enhanced by this magnificent scene but nonetheless we truly are joyous within.

True joy is rare but a great feeling, some would agree better than love, for to be joyous is not contingent on others emotions.

It is a surrendering of our true selves, displaying it to the world, unabashed by the appearance no matter how silly.

If we are lucky to truly feel joyous, how can we ever be selfish not to share.

For if we can make contagious this feeling, then we have done our good deed for the day.
